Welcome to Delia, “Gateway to the Hand Hills”
On behalf of the residents of Delia, I would like to extend our warmest welcome and invite you to spend some time exploring our spectacular community. I’m sure you will see firsthand why Delia gets so much attention for its hospitality and beauty. We may be geographically small in size, but whether you are a visitor, seeking a location for your business, or potentially a future resident, Delia is certain to provide countless opportunities for you to enjoy your time here.
Delia has much to offer… a great location, lifestyle, and we’re very affordable if you want to move in. We have all the services your family needs, including a K-12 school, a library, and recreational facilities such as our arena, curling rink and ball diamonds. For those of you that want to visit or host a function, we have our spectacular community hall, a fully serviced campground and our museum that is just waiting to be visited. We also have a number of retail and commercial businesses that complete our community; if you need it, we probably have it.
Delia is a very active community with a number of clubs and organizations including churches, the drop in center and the award winning Delia in Bloom group. We offer support services such as Helping Hands and of course our local fire department.
Whether you live and work here or just visit, you will be embraced by a friendly, safe and progressive community that operates with a core of volunteers that value the small town living spirit. Delia proudly proclaims its status as having the first ever women mayor in Canada, Violet Barss 1920-1922.
We are ready to assist you in exploring our community for you or your business; we hope you will come and see what Delia has to offer.
We hope you enjoy your time in Delia and we look forward to seeing you back again soon.
Warmest Regards,
David Sisley
Mayor, Village of Delia
