Village of Delia

We are nestled at the base of the Hand Hills. We are a friendly, safe and progressive community that operates on the core of volunteers that value small town living.

100 years ago (1919), Delia was put on the map for breaking ground as Violet Barss became the first women in Canada to head a municipality in Canada (Mayor). Violet Barss was a trailblazer who served the Delia district and Alberta in the fields of health care, education and municipal governance for over fifty years.”
